ID@Xbox Digital Showcase aired live on April 29th, 2024 with various updates and announcements that Xbox and PC gamers can look forward to. Although the event left Silksong fans screaming at the clouds, there are plenty of creative titles to look forward to. Which game has you most excited at the spring ID@Xbox Digital Showcase?
Serenity Forge’s CENTUM quickly caught my eye. This creepy narrative adventure warns us of an unreliable narrator guiding us toward…freedom? The graphics are offputting, and the plot promises lots of twists! CENTUM is set to release this summer! Check out the trailer:
Two other games have my honorable mention (yes, I think this was a pretty substantial showcase). They are:
Tails of Iron II: Whiskers of Winter
We have a Tails of Iron sequel! This gritty looking game looks very promising to live up to its original, and I look forward to its release in the near future. Unfortunately, there was no release date attached to the trailer. It will launch on all major platforms: Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
DON’T NOD has an impressive pedigree for narrative-driven games such as Life is Strange and Tell Me Why. This off-putting trailer featured a young teen growing up in the 90s, preparing to leave her hometown, Velvet Cove–all through the perspective of a camcorder (man, remember those days?). This game will drop late 2024 on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
