Koch Media, the parent company of Deep Silver and now part of the THQ conglomerate, have announced a new publishing label called Prime Matter at the ‘Summer Games Fest’.
Prime Matter’s main purpose will be to deliver immersive games from studios all around the world. As part of the announcement, Prime Matter showcased the first twelve games that will be published through the label.
Payday 3
The popular co-op heist shooter is back for a third round. Fans of Payday 3 have known about its existence for a while now, but this is the first confirmation about the game having a new publisher with a hopeful release date for 2023.
Crossfire Legion
Crossfire Legion is a real-time strategy game, based on the first-person shooter game Crossfire X. Developed by Blackbird interactive, this PC game should release sometime in 2022.
King’s Bounty II
The sequel to the popular turn-based game, King’s Bounty will be Prime Matter’s first game, and will be releasing for Consoles and PC, August 24, 2021.
The Last Oricru
The Last Oricru is a third-person RPG created by Gold Knights, this game will release for 2022 on Consoles and PC in 2022. The game will feature drop-in, drop-out co-op through local play allowing the game to be experienced cooperatively.
Encased
Encased is an isometric RPG akin to Divinity and Icewind Dale, set in a retro sci-fi setting compared to the usual fantasy setting these games are made in. The game will release for PC sometime in the future.
Gungrave G.O.R.E
Gungrave G.O.R.E is a blood, thirsty third-person shooter about murdering with style. There isn’t much on this game at the moment, but it is slated for a 2022 release for Consoles and PC.
Chant (Working Title)
This is a brand new title from developer Brass Token. The game is a horror set in spiritual retreat. The game will release for Consoles and PC 2022.
Final Form (Working Title)
Final Form is a First-person sci-fi shooter able to be played solo or three player co-op. Players control cybernetic valkyries in a fast-paced shooter, similar to Vanquish, but in first-person. The game will release sometime in the future for Consoles and PC.
Dolmen
A sci-fi action RPG created by Massive Work Studio; you play as a lone scout in a hostile world going up against horrific enemies. The game will release Consoles and PC in 2022.
Echoes of the End (Working Title)
Echoes of Wind is set in a fantasy world like no other and will be a story driven game. Not much else is known about the game, but it does look amazing and is slated for a future release for Consoles and PC.
Scars Above
Scars Above is a dark sci-fi action-adventure game, where the main character must survive a desolated world with all types of horrors. The game is coming for Consoles and PC sometime in 2022.
Painkiller
After years without a new game, Painkiller will be back with a vengeance. Nothing else is known about this new Painkiller, but we expect it to bring back the game’s trademark mechanics and gameplay. No release or platforms has been announced yet, so here’s hoping we hear more information on this title soon.
Prime Matter will be having its own event during Koch Media’s E3 presentation, where we will hopefully hear more about the 12 games that they will be publishing.
