This article will be updated as more release dates and new titles are announced
During E3, Nintendo presented a packed Direct full of new and expected games, which gave us an insight on what’s coming down the line for 2021 releases. Here’s what we can expect from Nintendo from now until November.
Mario Golf: Super Rush – June 25
Super Mario Golf: Super Rush is the 7th installment for the Mario Golf series, which will release on June 25. This installment includes a new mode called speed golf, where every player tees off at the same time, then the player chases down their ball to try and sink their shot quicker than the other players to win the hole. So far we know of 16 confirmed golfers.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – July 16
The Wii U already got HD remasters of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, so Skyward Sword’s turn seemed likely. During a Direct earlier this year Nintendo announced Skyward Sword coming to Switch, adding new button controls for players who didn’t enjoy the motion controls in the original. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword drops on July 16.

No More Heroes III – August 27
No More Heroes III was announced at the Game Awards in 2019, and we saw very little until a Nintendo Direct in February where a new trailer was released. This hack and slash focuses on professional assassin Travis Touchdown as he returns to Santa Destroy from years of self-imposed exile to save the world from an alien invasion. Along with the main story, you can control Travis as he does odd side quests such as

Wario Ware: Get it Together – September 10
Fan favorite series Wario Ware coming to Switch on September 10, 2021. Wario is going to be making Microgames again for this version on Switch, but this time there’ll be co-op mode for two players to team up and take down mini games.

Metroid Dread – October 8
In what might have been the biggest reveal for Nintendo during E3 2021 — Nintendo’s popular franchise Metroid receives a new installment coming to Switch on October 8, 2021. Fans have long awaited a new installment; now a new beautiful 2-D adventure is coming their way. The game features beautiful 3-D cut-scenes seamlessly interwoven with classic side-scrolling action reminiscent of Super Metroid.
Mario Party Superstars – October 29
Mario Party Superstars arrives on Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2021. There will be 5 boards from the Nintendo 64 era, including 100 minigames from the series catalog – all of which can be played with button controls, which mean players on the Switch Lite will be able to enjoy Mario Party Superstars as well. Additionally, all game modes work with online play!

Shin Megami Tensi V – November 12
The latest entry in the long-running JRPG series, SMT V was first teased all the way back in 2017. Shin Megami Tensi brings a unique twist to the classic JRPG battle systems where much of the gameplay revolves around fighting demons, which you can try to convince to join your party. As you add more demons to your roster, you can fuse them in different combinations to create more powerful entities. Shin Megami Tensi V is slated to release on November 12.
Pokemon Shining Pearl/Brilliant Diamond – November 19
Return back to the popular Sinnoh region in this remaster of the popular DS games Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Choose Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be your first partner Pokémon and then set off on your journey. You’ll discover the Sinnoh region is rich in nature and filled with enticing myths that have been passed down through the ages. With the towering Mount Coronet at its heart, you’ll visit many different locations in the region while you strive to become the Champion of the Pokémon League. Whether you’re a longtime fan who’s revisiting familiar places or a first-time explorer of Sinnoh, you’ll find plenty of fun and excitement in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.

Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot – December 3
Nintendo’s E3 Direct was full of surprise announcements, and the revival of the Advance Wars series was right in the middle of the pack of surprises. Advance Wars is a turn-based tactical strategy series that pits armies against each other on a grid map. This series has been dormant for more than a decade; now fans of old and newcomers can experience the first two games remastered from the ground up.
Other notable titles to be released in December: None as of now.
