Metroid fans have had an exciting past few weeks with the recent announcement of Metroid Dread. Nintendo has used this freshly revealed game to head their Twitter account, simultaneously launching with the Switch OLED, and suggesting new fans replay past Metroid games through the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. For fans, both new and seasoned veterans, an exciting guide will soon be available for pre-order through Hand-Drawn Game Guides for the NES original.
For those unfamiliar with Hand-Drawn Game Guides, they provide exactly what they promote–guides for classic games that are hand-drawn. But why should you get excited for a guide you can easily find online for free? The stunning, individually drawn, original artwork will grab the attention of any gamer or collector. The announcement tweet, by artist Philip Summers, shows initial designs of characters like Samus, Kraid, and Mother Brain, item upgrade guides, and plans for a narrative walkthrough. The pricing and release date are not available at this time, but plans to release limited physical and digital versions are in the works, so sign up for e-mail notifications if you are interested.
