The summer for gaming is heating up with the latest Pokemon news– Pokemon UNITE will drop next week, July 21st, on the Nintendo Switch. It will be a free-to-play MOBA game, with optional in-game purchases, developed by the same team who created Call of Duty: Mobile, TiMi Studios. There is an incentive to purchase early: players who log on before August 31st will be able to unlock Zeraora for free.
The game takes place on Aeos Island, where you participate in Unite Battles. The competitions are formed in teams of five as you attempt to obtain the most points in an allotted time. Players can also evolve their Pokemon through this new, mysterious energy called Aeos energy.
Variety is the name of the game in Pokemon UNITE. Not only are there a variety of stadiums, each with their own ruleset, time lengths, number of team members allowed, but you can also customize your Pokemon trainer and your Pokemon.
Pokemon UNITE will also be available on mobile devices later this year in September.
