Thanks to a group of modders known as Eternal Dream Arabization, they have successfully translated every storyline, text, and dialogue within Zelda: Breath of the Wild to Arabic. Collectively, the group has worked 18 plus months to convert everything over. This is no small feat for a group to take upon themselves to do, but It is nice to see others can finally enjoy this game in their native tongue. As the fifth most commonly spoken language in the world, it is strange that it was not officially translated by Nintendo.
Eternal Dream Arabization has other projects in mind to translate, including Super Mario World and Resident Evil Village. By doing so, they can expose other stories to this region–meaning more sales for the publishers, which can only lead to more awareness of language diversity incorporated into games.
Video games usually are easy to enjoy by anyone from any culture, and normally, language barriers are what hold this art form back from reaching as many people as possible.
