Pokemon is easily one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. Since it’s inception in 1995, the pocket monsters have spanned multiple forms of media from games to the popular anime and films. The one form Pokemon has yet to take, however, is a massive open-world style game, one of which fans have been clamoring for for decades. This month, however, the franchise will take its first steps in this direction with the release of Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Pokemon Legends Arceus is easily one of the most anticipated releases on the Nintendo Switch in the early year. Though it’s not quite the open world game fans wanted, it looks to change up the traditional formula quite a bit, allowing players to roam vast areas and battle and catch the monsters in real time. In the latest six minute trailer on Nintendo’s Japanese YouTube channel, they introduce players to what they can expect as they boot up the game on January 28, 2022.
