For all of you New Lights out there, Xur is the Exotic weapon and armor merchant who travels to a different location every week in Destiny 2. His inventory consists of one Exotic weapon, one Exotic armor piece for each class, an Exotic engram that will grant players a non-quest related weapon or armor piece, and an Exotic Cipher quest. Starting with Beyond Light‘s Season of the Lost, Xur has also added Legendary items to his inventory, usually weapons and armor from seasons’ past or old event sets. All items he has for sale will be listed here complete with perks, stat rolls, and any other important information needed for Guardians to make their purchasing decisions. As of Season of the Risen and The Witch Queen, Xur is selling random roll of both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale every week.

Cost of Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale
Hawkmoon (Perk: Quickdraw) – 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard
Dead Man’s Tale (Perk: Moving Target) – 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard
Merciless | Exotic Solar Fusion Rifle | 29 Legendary Shards
Merciless used to be one of the must own Exotics in Destiny 2, but has since been outclassed by many since its debut. Its Conserve Momentum perk charges faster for every nonlethal hit. It was great for raid and Nightfall bosses. Its still a blast to use, but like we mentioned before, there are several other weapons at this point.
Sealed Ahamkara Grasps | Exotic Hunter Gauntlets | 23 Legendary Shards
These guantlets are cool if you use them in certain situations, but there are definitely more useful Exotics. Nightmare Fuel, its main perk, reloads your equipped weapon anytime melee damage is dealt. Xur’s stats are 48 total.
One-Eyed Mask | Exotic Titan Helmet | 23 Legendary Shards
This PvP oriented Titan Helmet marks enemies that damage you with its Vengeance perk. If you kill targets that are marked, you are also granted an Overshield and increases damage dealt for a short period. Though its been nerfed quite a few times, its still pretty powerful. Xur’s roll this week is 48 total stats.
Getaway Artist | Exotic Warlock Helmet | 23 Legendary Shards
This Exotic debuted during Season of the Drifter. Its Dynamic Duo perk lets you sacrifice grenades for a powerful Arc turret that follows you, helping you take out enemies. Its definitely a great Exotic for PvE activities. Xur’s roll this week is 48 total stats.
Other Exotic Items:
One Exotic engram can be purchased for 97 Legendary Shards. A second engram can be purchased with an Exotic Cypher, in which only one can be carried at a time.
The Exotic Cypher Quest is free, but Guardians can not pick up the quest if they already have one in their inventory. Exotic Cyphers can be used to purchase one Exotic engram from Xur or be used in the kiosk with other materials to purchase Exotics from past expansions. This week’s quest is to complete 21 of the following: Strikes, win Crucible matches, or win Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you will earn an Exotic Cipher.
Xur’s Legendary Inventory
Every week, Xur also has a selection of Legendary gear. Each piece sells for 1000 Glimmer and 50 Legendary Shards. This is a pretty steep price for this gear, so only purchase something if you find a god roll or really need a boost in stats and can afford to grab something. Due to feedback for this feature, we will only be listing Legendary Weapons with God Rolls for you. You can still check out the stats at light.gg.
