What’s New, Nintendo? (Week of 3/14)

Even if it is a slower news week, Nintendo still has a lot of action going on. Every year Nintendo likes to acknowledge Mar10 (Mario) day with a handful of sales, and here at bossrush, we celebrated by asking about your favorite Mario series!

Rejoice F-Zero fans! This week, we got to see Captain Falcon, who may be more famous from the Smash Bros. series now, finally make his way to the Switch in the form of F-Zero X on NSO+ this week and fans were delighted. There’s only a couple more games left in the expansion pass that we know, so I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Early last week Capcom announced that they’re doing a 20 minute digital event on March 15 that’ll highlight their DLC called “Sunbreak.” Not only that, you can play Monster Hunter Rise for free up until 3/17. I’m looking forward to what’s in store for the event!

Lastly, Nintendo announced that given the current world events, they’ll be delaying the release of Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot. For those that are unfamiliar with Advance Wars, it opens with the in-game faction Blue Moon, invading a neighboring territory. Nintendo felt that this hits a little too close to home given the current world events. As much as I wanted to play this game, I’m happy with the decision. No release date has been given yet.

That’s a wrap for news and rumors, now let’s take a look at the upcoming games this week! Oh, and don’t forget to check out our review of Aztech: Forgotten Gods as well!
