Today an announcement trailer was revealed that a new Ghostbusters game is on the horizon and is currently being developed by Polygon. Polygon, the makers of Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th, is producing the next co-op blaster in the form of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. The game will be a 4 vs. 1 multiplayer first-person shoot ’em up where players can join the Ghostbusters team to catch the ghosts or become a stark raven ghost themselves, out to take over the city.
Players get gameplay guidance from Winston Zeddemore and Ernie Hudson, as well commentary from Dan Akroyd’s Ray Stanz from the infamous Ray’s Occult Books. The game’s events will take place after Ghostbusters: Afterlife and will launch later on this year for PS4, PS5, X Box Series X/S, X Box One, and PC. Here’s a look at the reveal announcement trailer:
