If you missed the latest State Of Play, we got you covered with all the news from today’s announcements in which Sony focused heavily on titles coming to PlayStation 4|5 from Japanese publishers. Twelve games were announced in this 20-minute presentation, with some being an update and some games a surprise that no one expected. We got you covered, so grab a snack and let’s dig in.

Exoprimal

The presentation started off by showing us a new title from Capcom called Exoprimal. The game is a 4-player team-based third-person shooter where you must fend off various dinosaurs that attack an unknown city. You’ll choose between five Aibius Exosuits which contain special skills and abilities to fight raptors, a T-Rex, and more. Check out the trailer as the game is set for release in 2023.

Ghostwire Tokyo

Next up, was a new trailer for Ghostwire Tokyo, which releases on March 25. Nothing new was shown, but check out the trailer for this anticipated first-person action game.

Final Fantasy Origins: Strangers In Paradise

Square Enix presented a new trailer for Final Fantasy Origins: Strangers In Paradise. It showcased new areas, enemies, and moves you can pull off. You can visit the PlayStation store to download a new demo for PlayStation 4|5. Watch the exciting and action-packed trailer to see more of what the game has to offer.

Forspoken

Square Enix also presented a new trailer for Forspoken. With its recently announced delay, the Forspoken trailer showed off some new magic attacks, a whip you can use for melee, surfing on water, and aerial moves you can pull off in combat. It seems the game was planned to be delayed since the trailer gave us a new date of October 11 of this year for PlayStation 5. Pre-orders are available now.

Gundam Evolution

Bandai Namco presented a new title with Gundam Evolution. A 6 vs. 6 arena shooter that may remind of Overwatch, the game will have three competitive modes: Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction. Not much information was given about these modes but Point Capture is probably their version of Capture The Flag. Domination could be the most kills. Destruction may be about your Killstreak. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection

The biggest surprise out of the whole show was that Konami and Nickelodeon came together to bring us Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. It will feature thirteen games from the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and the arcade. It will also have eleven of the Japanese versions. That’s right, all versions of Tournament Fighters, Turtles In Time, Hyperstone Heist, and more will all be available on your PlayStation 4|5 consoles. GigaBash

Next up was GigaBash which is a 4-player melee fighter where you control a Kaiju monster and must battle three other fighters as you destroy the city and your opponents with various attacks and special skills. Gather enough energy and you’ll be able to release an ultimate attack that can wipe out anyone who is hit by it. Check out the trailer to see it in action. It comes to PlayStation 4|5 this year.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle R

Bandai Namco is bring a new Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure to PlayStation 4|5 with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle R. You’ll be able to show your resolve with the choice of fifty characters in this 2-D tag team fighter. Check out the trailer to see if it’s your kind of punch!

Trek To Yomi

Trek To Yomi had a new trailer that showed off its monochromatic look for the 2-D samurai action. Published by Devolver Digital, the game requires players to parry and attack enemies in mystical environments while searching for the truth about what is happening. Check out the new trailer.

Returnal Ascension

Returnal will receive its 3.0 update which includes 2-player co-op known as “Returnal Ascension.” On March 22, you’ll be able to play the game with another partner and encounter new enemies and bosses in survival mode. Watch the trailer to see the updates.

The DioField Chronicle

Square Enix presented two new games coming to PlayStation that ended the presentation. The first was The DioField Chronicle. A tactical strategy RPG that tells a story about a mist that affected a land that caused a war between the Rowetale Alliance and the Trovelt-Schoevian Empire. One area wasn’t affected, which was the Kingdom Of Allentain. Watch the trailer to see how the game plays. The release is planned for 2022.

Valkyrie Elysium

Lastly, they ended the show with Valkyrie Elysium. With a focus on melee attacks, the new game play seems to focus on hand-to-hand combat with a new protagonist and new mystery character that may play a bigger part in the story. See the trailer to get a glimpse of what’s to come. It is planned for 2022 for PlayStation 4|5.
