About a month ago, fans received a surprise look behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. The video titled, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge #1: Once Upon a Shell, shared a conversation with Tribute Game’s Co-Founder, Jean-Francois Major, and Dotemu’s CEO, Cyrille Imbert, who discussed how the game came to be. After seeing the huge success of Streets of Rage 4, Nickelodeon contacted them on creating a game for their IP. Happy to jump at the chance of creating a fresh, new, and fun take of the classic beat ’em up that reigned supreme in the 90s, these turtle fan boys embarked on making their dream come true. This is the first footage of the video series below:
Yesterday, the series continues with behind the scenes video #2. This time, the video focused on coming up with the design of the game. The video marked, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge #2: The Shell Design, showcased the meetings that took place in deciding the concept art of the game–even revealing a few shots of gameplay, including the world map navigating with the party wagon and enemy boss battles. These videos have only increased the hype of this game featuring the heroes in the half shell, and with all the confidence in the world handed to Dotemu, I am more than positive we will be in for a real treat. Even though the release date is still a mystery, we at least have a time frame in the summer and confirmation of participating platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
