When Ori and the Blind Forest first came out on Xbox and PC in 2015, I started to hear rumblings of how great the game was. Though I had an Xbox, I like playing certain genres on Nintendo hardware, and Metroidvania games are one such genre. So, I waited. Even still, when it released on the Nintendo Switch in 2019, I didn’t pick up the game. Then the sequel, Ori and the Will of The Wisps released in early 2020 on Xbox and late 2020 on Switch, and just like its predecessor, it too received rave critic reviews and strong word of mouth buzz. Yet still, I waited.
When I finally picked up Ori and the Blind Forest in 2021, I was absolutely hooked. I loved the graphics, the music, the gameplay, but most of all I was hooked by the story. What an absolutely phenomenal game. I immediately picked up the sequel and was again impressed by what a tight game it was. The Ori franchise (because, let’s be honest – there will be more games in this series) has quickly become one of my favorites, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
If you are anything like me and you like to celebrate the games you love by buying some physical trinket to display in your media room, have I got the thing for you. Fangamer, a small videogame merchandise company based in Arizona, is dedicated to celebrated video games by creating products they actually want to own. And they just came out with the ultimate Ori collectable: the official Ori and the Will of the Wisps plush.

The adorable plush is 7 inches tall when seated, and includes metal arms and magnetic hands, and looks like a must have for any fans of the Ori games.
