What does the month of August have in store for indie games on the Nintendo Switch? Let’s find out by checking a list of indie games releasing this month. I’ve taken the time to highlight on a few that piqued my interest, followed by a list of more great looking games!

Book Quest:

Gather information from residents in nearby towns and explore these magnificent lands. Cult Of The Lamb:

Release Date: 8/11

Blossom Tales 2– The Minotaur Prince:

Developer: Castle Pixel LLC

Publisher: Playtonic Friends

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Release Date: 8/16

Lily is back and ready for an all new open-world adventure as she travels through a haunted forest, pirate shores, and more! Once again, it’s a story within a story as grandpa narrates another tale of Lily, Knight of the Rose. Solve clever puzzles and slash enemies down as Lily ventures on her quest to defeat the Minotaur Prince and save her brother! Blossom Tales 2 is a sequel following Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King. If you haven’t played the first game, you can check out the demo on the Nintendo eShop! This will scratch that 2D Zelda action/adventure itch. Cursed To Golf:

Cursed to Golf is a side-scrolling golf rogue-like adventure. Golf through platforming dungeons and escape this golf purgatory where you’re guided by a ghost Caddie who will help teach you techniques in this underworld golf challenge.

Cursed to Golf has 70+ unique holes to golf and players can challenge the world in online leaderboards. Cursed to Golf is available on the Nintendo eShop.

Islets:

Developer: Kyle Thompson

Publisher: Armor Games Studio

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Release Date: 8/24

Islets is a metroidvania about making connections with the people around you. Play as Iko the warrior as you collect upgrades hidden around the world and tackle many hidden challenges. Explore areas and slash your way through fast paced side scrolling 2-d combat. Islets is available now on the Nintendo eShop.

Tinykin:

Developer: Splashteam

Publisher: tinyBuild

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Release Date: 8/30

Tinykin is a colorful fun-fulfilled 3-D Platformer where you can catch hundreds of Tinykin and use their unique powers to bring Milo back to his home planet and back to normal size! Guide your different varieties of Tinykin to solve obstacles and progress through each area.
