Sony has revealed the November Monthly Games for PlayStation Plus. The titles include Nioh 2, Lego Harry Potter Collection, and Heavenly Bodies. All three titles will be available starting November 1 for subscribers of Sony’s PlayStation Plus Essential service, as well as the Extra and premium tiers.
Developed by Team Ninja, Nioh 2 released in March, 2020 on the PS4 console. The game is an action RPG that takes inspiration from the Dark Souls series of games by FromSoftware. The franchise is centered on Japanese folklore, and casts players as a yōkai spirit named Hide who serves numerous historical Japanese figures such as Oda Nobunaga and Hachisuka Koroku in battling demons.
Sony has stated that both the original PS4 release and the PS5 Remaster will be available as part of the PlayStation Plus program.
The Lego Harry Potter Collection is a remastered collection combining the games Years 1-4 and Years 5-7. Both games are a Lego take on the Harry Potter film franchise by Warner Bros., which in turn are based on the novels by J. K. Rowling. The games released in June, 2010 and November, 2011 respectively, and together in October, 2016 as part of the Collection.
Lastly, Heavenly Bodies is an indie title from Australian developer 2pt Interactive. The game released on December 7, 2021 for PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam. Heavenly Bodies is described as “[a] game about cosmonauts, the body, and the absence of gravity.” The game can be played in single player or local co-op modes, and supports PlayStation’s Share Play service for remote local co-op.
