After more than 2 years of seeing the original trailer for Sports Story I was beginning to think it may never show up again, but it has in the latest Indie World presentation. Even better news is that it launches December 2022!

With the new trailer we see all sorts of sports beyond golf. Including BMX, mini-golf, cricket, fishing, tennis, volleyball, and soccer. But this game revealed that the game is so much more. You can become a detective, explore dungeons, visit the mall and the list continues. Also, the graphics seem to have improved because it is so vibrant and visually stunning. Sidebar Games are raising the bar by going below par. That is a good thing if you didn’t catch the joke.

I loved the original Golf Story game, and it was one of the first games I enjoyed from an indie company on my Nintendo Switch so I’m looking forward to this and I really hope they decide to make a physical port of the game as well. We will wait and see for more news.
