Southern Australian game publisher Melonhead Games announced its debut game Rooftop Renegade will release on February 17, 2023.
The game will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Rooftop Renegade, a fast-paced platformer game built using Unreal Engine 4, offers players a smooth and seamless gaming experience with its focus on detailed motion and high-quality 3D graphics, according to a press release.
The game, developers say, is sure to appeal to fans of speedrunning and other fast-paced games.
Players will control Svetlana and avoid capture from Globacorp. But quick reflexes and fast thinking will be necessary as the Globacorp Gunners attempt to obstruct the path.
Features include: fast-paced platforming with multiple pathways, “buttery-smooth gameplay” with frame rate support, local-multiplayer Party Mode to play as the Globacorp gunners, and neo-retro city landscapes with a dynamic soundtrack
Rooftop Renegade has already picked up several awards. These include: Best in Show — Sound Design Nominee at GDEX Midwest Gaming Expo in 2020 and PAX Aus Indie Showcase Competition winner & People’s Choice Award in 2022.
