I have always been a fan of the Final Fantasy, but when it comes to the seventh installment, I am a Final Fantasy VII nut! I’ve loved the spinoffs like Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion and need to catch up on the novels such as: Final Fantasy VII: On the Way to a Smile (my favorite name for a title) and Final Fantasy VII: Traces of Two Pasts. Needless to say, it’s my favorite series out of the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of my all-time favorite games and while I am definitely looking forward to the sequel Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, I am extremely curious as to how they will recreate some of the most memorable moments of the original.
Final Fantasy VII Remake kind of shifted a bit in its storytelling by adding new characters and the reveal of possible multiple timelines. I can’t help but wonder will they continue on with new storylines going forward in the next two sequels or will everything moving forward be a one-to-one shot of the original story from here on out. More importantly, how would those memorable and favorite moments see a remake creation that would blow our minds? Of course, we all know THAT scene is coming and no matter what, it’ll STAB our hearts! What about the scenes at the Gold Saucer? Will the dating mechanic return? One of my favorite scenes was seeing the backstory of Barret and how he became the gruff Avalanche hero we all know and love.
