Mario Party is a long-running franchise from Nintendo with numerous iterations over the years. My favorite aspect of this franchise has always been the minigames, fighting against my friends and family for the most coins.
What Mario Party minigames were your favorite? I have so many of them, but I’ll just list a few.
After playing Super Mario Party several times with a family member who owned the game, I recently bought it for myself to enjoy. I find it to be a great way to pass time when I’m stuck without any novels to read or at a roadblock in video games.
One of my favorite minigames to play in this iteration of Mario Party is “Slapparazzi.” My family and I all get a kick out of watching our characters push and shove each other out of the way for the camera. I usually rack up a lot of points with the smaller characters I use to play in the game like Yoshi or Boo. However, someone in my family is bound to choose Bowser to play with, and they always take up half the photo because of how large Bowser is!
I also used to often play Mario Party DS when I was a kid, and I find it such a blast to return to now as an adult. One of my favorite minigames to play from that game is “Big Blowout.” Half the time, I’m convinced the sensors of my DS are broken because I will blow and blow, and yet none of the candles will flicker out!
There have been many updates to the Mario Party franchise, and I’m always excited to what new functions are added to the games to make them more exciting. It’s a great way to pass the time while also competing with others as casually or as seriously as you want.
