The recent rumors of a possible Zelda Direct or demo turned out to be…simply rumors (but, really, who was surprised by this); however, Nintendo announced there will be one last trailer before its May 12th launch. It will stream live on Thursday, April 13th at 7 A.M. PST/10 A.M. EST.

Personally, with the trailer launching just short of one month prior to release tells me they will provide more context on the story. Nintendo has been incredibly tight lipped about anything Tears of the Kingdom until Eiji Aonuma’s demo late March. Even then, he spoke to a handful of gameplay mechanics. Nothing story related was revealed, which continues to shroud this game in mystery. So, while I cannot speak for Nintendo, I believe this move will be the final puzzle piece for fans who are still unsure about what this game’s “hook” will be.
