Kena: Bridge of Spirits, a story-driven action-adventure game, will be available on PlayStation Plus starting Tuesday, April 18.
Award-winning studio Ember Lab, which Mike and Josh Grier founded in 2009, developed the game.
Ember Lab describes its game as:
One of the most talked about adventures from an indie studio in recent years, Kena: Bridge of Spirits offers players an action-adventure game that combines compelling narrative with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat. The game delivers a journey of self-discovery as Kena, a young Spirit Guide, restores balance to an ancient village in a once-thriving environment.
The PlayStation Plus version of the game will also include the Anniversary DLC update which launched in September 2022. This update features Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, outfits for Kena, accessibility features, and New Game+ mode, which allows players who have completed the game to restart Kena’s journey with all of their previously unlocked abilities and collectables, as well as redesigned, challenging combat encounters.
“Kena: Bridge of Spirits still means a great deal to us as our debut game,” Josh Grier, chief operating officer at Ember Lab, said. “We’re really excited to welcome new players to take the journey with Kena through the spirit world, meet her Rot friends, and discover the mysteries and puzzles that world has to offer.”
Kena: Bridge of Spirits was first available on PlayStation platforms September 21, 2021 and went on to win several awards including Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits isn’t the only game joining PlayStation Plus this month. The subscription service will also add Doom Eternal, Riders Republic, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Slay the Spire, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, The Evil Within, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Bassmaster Fishing, Paradise Killer, Sackboy: The Big Adventure, Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64, Doom 3, and Dishonored: Definitive Edition.
