Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name released a new trailer, and additional details emerged from the PlayStation store. Bridging the gaps between the sixth, seventh, and eighth installments in the Like a Dragon series, this game returns to the brawler style of the earlier installments. The game releases November 9, 2023 on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and the Windows Store.
The game marks the return of the previous series protagonist, Kiryu Kazuma, after being replaced by his successor in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Additional details have emerged via the PlayStation store.

Pre-Order DLC has been announced, which adds series characters like Majima, Saejima, and Dojima Daigo to the arena. Other DLC may be announced at a later date. Ideally, this DLC will continue to be an improvement over the abusive DLC available for Like a Dragon: Ishin.
Players who purchase the PlayStation 4 version of the game will receive the PlayStation 5 digital version for free, but only if they own a PlayStation 5 with a disc drive.
