The teams behind the retro-brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu, are producing a new DLC, “Dimension Shellshock.” As previously reported, the DLC is releasing later this year for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One.
The minds behind the game revealed an all-new Survival Mode, which offers a “bodacious new way to kick shell.” Survival Mode introduces collectible crystals that allow the player to jump from dimension to dimension, with each dimension featuring its own unique look and feel. Thus far, dimensions include Edo, inspired by historical Japan, 8-bit backgrounds inspired by the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games, and Omnichannel 6.
The new mode allows players to level up and grow stronger through runs across dimensions. After they die and have collected enough crystals, they unlock a new life, ninja power bars, Radical Mode and extra hit points. Players will also be granted the ability to skip dimensions, and Dimension Shellshock will come complete with flashy new character colors.
