Speculations ran wild for weeks about the fate of Red Dead Redemption, but concrete details have emerged.
Rockstar Games revealed the original Red Dead Redemption will be available to play digitally on PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch on August 17 along with it’s zombie counterpart, Undead Nightmare. The physical release arrives on October 13th.
The original game was only available to play on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. After thirteen years, Red Dead Redemption will head over to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch as a straight port and not as a remaster or remake. The Western action-adventure game unfolds the story of former outlaw, John Marston, as he makes his way across the West and Mexico to find the last standing members of the Van der Linde Gang in order to save his family.
Undead Nightmare exists in the same world as the original, but with a zombie twist as Marston has to stay alive during a zombie apocalypse while searching for a cure. Both games will include new supported languages: Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish.
