Genshin Impact just released their livestream for the coming 4.1 update of the game. This livestream celebrated the game’s 3rd year anniversary. It was packed with a lot of information about the coming update and anniversary rewards.
Redemption Codes
The following three codes can be redeemed for rewards in the game:
FB8PFFHT364M – 100 Primogems and 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore
JS96FEZS3P59 – 100 Primogems and 5 Hero’s Wit
2T86EWGBJP6V – 100 Primogems and 50,000 Mora
These codes will expire on 09/15/2023 at 12:00 AM (UTC-4).
Anniversary Rewards
Travelers will receive 1,600 primogems with four fragile resin in the mail at the time of the update. Alongside this, travelers will also get two new items: an Itty Bitty Octobaby companion and a gadget called the Portable Aerodynamic Gelatinous Bubble Generator.
Genshin Impact will also have its seven-day sign-in that will grant travelers free wishes up to ten pulls on the limited banner. The top-up bonus will be reset in this upcoming update as well making all bonuses available for players.
New Characters and Wish Banners
The next character banners for 4.1 will feature two new five-star characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillette. Neuvillette will appear in the first-half of the banner alongside Hu Tao. Wriothesley will be run alongside Venti in the second-half of the character banner.
Neuvillette is the Chief Justice of Fontaine with a Charged Attack-focus combat style. He is a Hydro catalyst user.
After his Charged Attack has been charging for a period of time, it will release as a long turret of water that deals area-of-effect Hydro Damage to all enemies in a straight line in front of him while also decreasing his HP (Health Points). The higher his HP, the more damage his Charged Attack will deal. His Skill and Burst can generate spheres called Sourcewater Droplets that will not only restore his HP but also reduce the time required to fully charge his torrent. His passive talent gives the traveler’s party an increase in underwater swimming speed.
Wriothesley is the Duke of the Fortress of Meropide with a brawler-like combat. He will be the game’s first Cryo catalyst user.
His skill will enhance his normal attacks at the cost of losing HP at the same time. When his HP falls below a certain amount, his next Charged Attack will become Rebuke: Vaulting Fist that deals more damage to enemies without consuming Stamina while restoring his HP. His passive talent also allows travelers to have a chance to receive double the product when crafting weapon ascension materials. .
New Quests
The all new Archon Quest will be released in 4.1. Travelers will follow the aftermath of the previous Archon Quest, infiltrating the Fortress of Meropide to find out more about the prison and information about Childe who is imprisoned there. Meanwhile, Neuvillette, Furina, and Arlecchino all meet in order to have a discussion about the wrongful imprisonment of Fatui Harbinger Childe.
Both Wriothesley and Neuvillette will be receiving a story quest in the upcoming update for travelers to learn more about these characters (Cerberus Chapter: Act I and Diluvies Chapter: Act I).
Events
Travelers will go through a poetry event hosted by Hu Tao and Venti who met during the last Lantern Rite event. What is supposed to be a peaceful event is interrupted when Chongyun claims to have seen what looks like an evil spirit and thus begins an investigation. This event, Waterborne Poetry, will feature a series of minigames that will help travelers in gaining rewards.
Mondstadt also finds itself battling an invasive species of fish. While the Knights of Favonius attempt to damage control the environmental effects, Klee is given a little game to prevent her from interfering with their efforts. In Dodoco’s Bomb-Tastic Adventure, travelers will play as Dodoco and fish blast the army of Spikey Fish.
Fontaine will also face an encounter of creatures, strange creatures that should have stayed in the laboratories. It will be up to travelers in the Radiant Harvest event to rally up the “Violetglow Jellyfish” from the waters to protect the nation’s ecosystem.
The next update will feature The Peaks and Troughs of Life event where travelers will help a Fontanian researcher test Pressurized Impactors, a combat focused trial with a new, special mechanic.
Genius Invocation TCG: The Forge Realm’s Temper will be available as well for travelers to duel against enemies in a heated card battle.
Finally, the Overflowing Mastery event will also be running again to help travelers in leveling up their characters.
Quality of Life Updates
HoYoverse has implemented a few system updates that will make things more accessible for travelers.
Firstly, they’ve better highlighted the World Ascension Quest notification with relevant guidance both in the Paimon Menu and the Adventurer’s Handbook. The time needed to complete these quests have been lessened as well as made easier with taking out certain stronger enemies.
HoYoverse will also introduce the “Adventure Encounters” system to gain daily rewards instead of going through the Daily Commissions. They can instead obtain these rewards through completing quests, collecting open-world items to use for trees, opening chests, and taking part in events to gain Encounter Points. Of course, if travelers do not have these things available, they are free to get the rewards through the Daily Commissions instead.
