From cartoons to intense dramas, there are TV show characters who dress to impress and inspire watchers to shop their looks. While looking absolutely gorgeous, the characters’ outfits tend to tell their story and showcase their personality at the same time, which gives fans another glance into who they are.
Fashion forward characters often start trends in the real world or revive old ones. Popular shows set in the past like, Stranger Things, inspire newer generations to pick up an ‘80s aesthetic for themselves. Revisiting older styles from the past is common, and TV shows from the ‘90s and early 2000s are usually the main culprits with bringing back vintage clothes despite their end.
6. Totally Spies! (2001-2013)

It’s incredibly rare to witness cartoon characters who wear different clothing every episode. Animated characters are known to have one outfit or two and that’s it. However, Clover, Alex, and Sam from Totally Spies! are the exceptions. The teenage spies have their own unique styles which often match their designated colors: red, yellow, and green, respectively.
5. Euphoria (2019-Present)

The dramatic makeup and outfits in Euphoria took the fashion world by storm as trends inspired by the majority of the cast popped up one after the other and hasn’t stopped since its release in 2019. Each character wears outfits that directly reflect who they are as a person while telling a story about their journey through both seasons. The hairstyles, clothes, and sparkly makeup is still prevalent in fashion today, and it’s impressive how Euphoria impacted the younger crowd in more than one area.
4. Friends (1994-2004)

Rachel Green from Friends is recognized for the great outfits she rocked during the show’s entire run. Her style is comfortable while retaining the stylish quality that is known for classic ‘90s looks. Monica and Phoebe never held back, either. While Monica is always spotted in neutral tones or bright red, Phoebe utilized the entire rainbow with her fun and colorful outfits. Friends will remain as a choice when searching for any fashion inspo.
3. Queen’s Gambit (2020)

Elegant is the perfect word to describe the many outfits of Anya Taylor-Joy’s character Beth Harmon in the Netflix series, Queen’s Gambit. Determined to become the greatest chess player in the world, her outfits reflect the competitive game that she is desperately set to win over and over again. Harmon’s chic style is one to be adorned. Often in neutral tones, pastel colors, and classy dresses, Queen’s Gambit revived a love for vintage trends, like her collared dresses and ‘60s hairstyle.
2. Charmed (1998-2006)

The fantasy drama, Charmed, features witch sisters who don’t exactly embody what a stereotypical witch tends to appear as, but that’s the charm. They look like normal women who are just dressed in cute fits. One of the sisters, Phoebe Halliwell, will never disappoint when it comes to her style. Her hairstyle changes depending on what she’s wearing, and the detail stands out among the rest.
1. The Nanny (1993-1999)

Fran Fine from The Nanny is dressed to the nines at all times. Her style is colorful, unique, and every piece of clothing she owns is fit to be shown at any professional runway. Looking for ‘90s inspo? Fran is the woman to study from head to toe. She continues to inspire fans to recreate her looks and wow audiences any time she’s spotted on screen.
