Aaron Grubb, musician and lifelong fan of video games, has released another cover of Zelda music, this time from the Nintendo 64 classic Ocarina of Time. His single “Serenade of Water” is a glimpse into the stellar lineup of his upcoming album release, Legend of Zelda, Vol. 4, which becomes available March 25.
His previous Zelda music cover albums, Legend of Zelda, Vol. 1 – Vol. 3, have become widely popular in the Zelda fan community. His renditions of classic tracks from the franchise’s twenty canonical games are always marked by new variations and complexities that make for great listening during study sessions, work days, and car trips. His care and love in crafting these covers ensure the core of what made these songs special remains even as he innovates.
You can listen to his recently released single “House Theme” here; this Ocarina of Time Cover will also be appearing on Legend of Zelda, Vol. 4 album.
One of my favorite aspects of Aaron Grubb’s music releases is that he typically works with an indie artist to create unique album art. For the release of “Serenade of Water,” Grubb enlisted the help of Silver Milk Art, who’s work can be found on Instagram.
