When it comes to worlds of crafting and exploration, Valheim‘s graphics and lore building set it heads and shoulders above the competition, but there are two things Minecraft has that Valheim lacks. One, Valheim doesn’t let you tame any flying steeds, but more importantly, Minecraft has a creative mode.
Programmed right into the game, Minecraft‘s Creative Mode allows users to build whatever, wherever. Even without a workbench, you can go in and select whatever you want and place it in world without worrying about materials or particularly fancy coding to get you there. Everything is intuitive and follows the regular gameplay.

Some may claim we already have a creative mode. If you go to Steam and click on properties, you can add ‘-console’ under launch options. From there, you can open up the console by pressing F5. Type in ‘devcommands’ then click enter. Follow this with ‘debugmode’ and click enter gain.
From there, you can use the console commands to achieve something of a creative mode; however, this is far more cumbersome. A list generates when you request ‘Help,’ but it can take a while to cleanly go through.

| Code | Result |
| nocost | Removes placement cost |
| fly | Enables flying |
| killall | Kill all monsters |
| god | Immunity to damage |
The new more straightforward codes are far better than the old ones, but there’s still room for improvement. Additionally, some updates have prevented users from taking advantage of the workaround, leaving some players scrambling to find new ways to access the console. If you’re one of them, Fn+F5 can work.

Many of the builds which Iron Gate Studios ends up highlighting are done within regular gameplay, taking hundreds of hours to complete. That dedication is a credit to how much players love the game; however, a creative mode would make the wait between updates that much more exciting.

An in-game creative mode would allow players to fully enjoy the buildable elements, and with the amazing structures people are already building in world, just image how much more incredible it could be with easy access!
