Colorgrave’s Veritus is now available on Steam.
This dungeon-exploring action adventure, which takes inspiration from Link’s Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages, is a loose follow-up to the team’s premiere game Prodigal. Set in the same world, you aren’t exploring an overworld and descending into dungeons: now you are exploring a much larger dungeon, hunting for safe spots to camp, and persevering to the end. This time, however, you venture into the depths with a full party…
Veritus‘ demo was a favorite in our Steam Next Fest coverage, and Anna described it as a “top choice” in her highlighted demos. I previously described the game as, “Once more, players can explore expansive, Zelda-style dungeons with a unique kit of tools. Once more, a massive, developed cast of characters is taking on the adventure. And once more, there are true secrets aplenty; not easily-datamined loot, but real mysteries and questions that ask the player to consider the truth and implications.”
Uncover the mysteries surrounding the god of shadow, as you navigate the treacherous corridors and chambers of his forgotten castle. Uncover the fragments of a key lost and scattered throughout, to reveal what secrets are dwelling within the throne room.
Persevere through many dangers lurking in every corner of the castle’s hallowed walls using the weapons and tools at your disposal. Decipher puzzles created to prevent you from continuing on your quest.
Regroup and set up camps in safe havens, deep within the castle’s dark halls, where you can prepare yourself for each adventure. Equip yourself with a variety of weapons and tools, go on expeditions with your companions, and rest after each encounter.
You can find Veritus on Steam.
