LUAL Games KIG’s Eldritch Empathy was recently revealed. The game is a scholarly roguelite, in which the player must uncover the mysteries of the elder gods or face the repercussions of eliminating the Cthulhu Mythos from the cosmos.
You use your tools and steadily growing research notes to understand the horrors and how to communicate them. The player must find out who, or what, brought about the apocalypse and decide the fate of humanity: save the village, allow it to succumb to madness, join a cult, or weaponize the monsters.
In this Lovecraftian rogue-lite, you’ll use your research notes and tools to learn the language of the great beyond. Learn to understand the ancient horror that roams the earth– or kill its offspring, and face the consequences. What matters is that you act fast: if their influence is left unchecked, the world will succumb to chaos and corruption. Your decisions will determine the fate of humanity.
Mere days ago, an otherworldly behemoth pierced the veil of our reality. Looming over your homeland, it corrupts the minds of both the people of your village and the wildlife in the surrounding forests. Only you seem spared from its influence… until feverish nightmares begin to plague you.
