On Monday, October 21st, Analogue, the company behind the Analogue Pocket, the Super Nt, and more, launched pre-orders for the Analogue3D. If you’re unaware, this machine is built to play every single Nintendo 64 game available with several modern upgrades. If you’re an aging Millennial and/or a massive Nintendo fan, will you be pre-ordering this gem?
Analogue describes the Analogue3D as a reimagining of the N64. Like their other products, it’s not emulation. Features include:
- 4K resolution. 10x the resolution of the original N64.
- Region Free.
- Bluetooth LE.
- Dualband Wifi.
- Four original-style controller ports.
- New, next generation Analogue hardware featuring 3DOS. Engineered entirely in FPGA.
Its sleek design comes in white and black, and their controllers are also compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Android, and Windows. Other features include:
- Bluetooth or Wired USB connection
- D-input and S-input modes
- Vibration support (Analogue3D and Switch)
- Turbo function
- Hall Effect joystick and wear-resistant metal joystick ring
I am a proud owner of the Analogue Pocket, which is able to play my Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games. It runs smoothly, looks gorgeous, and that backlighting…that’s something that today’s gaming generation will never understand.

That being said, because I am familiar with Analogue’s quality, I jumped on this pre-order immediately. My original N64 console may crap the bed any day now, and the Analogue3D will guarantee many more happy years of N64 gaming. I’m also looking forward to see how these polygonal graphics will look in 4K (that may not be as pleasant as we think though).
The Analogue3D pre-orders are $249.99 USD and is expected to ship Q1 2025.
