In the latest digital quest for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game, James Massingill’s Into the Abyss presents players with sunken treasure, and the mysteries of the seas.
This 26-page adventure is divided into three acts, and is designed for characters level 8-12. Players will meet underwater salvagers reclaiming the legacy of past generations, and learn about a local legend. The adventure includes rules for dives, and the chance to uncover and use pre-war diving technology. The players will battle a legendary beast.
For millennia, the world’s oceans have been the subject of myth and mystery. Creatures unimaginable and treasures uncountable lurk in those frigid depths. Even the great pre-war civilizations understood little of what lay in the darkness below, and now that the world has been destroyed by nuclear fire, the survivors must uncover this knowledge anew.
A small group of salvagers has made a career doing just that. Operating under the name Aquatic Antiquities, these salvagers explore the ocean in search of sunken treasures from a bygone age. But the shadow of a terrible curse looms over them, and success has proven elusive. If they want to prevent the business from failing altogether, they need to conduct their most ambitious dive yet—and they need the player characters’ help to do it.
Into the Abyss takes place along the coast and focuses primarily on aquatic travel, combat, and underwater exploration.

It’s recommended to play Into the Abyss with the core rules found in Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook but could be played using the rules and pregen characters found in the Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Starter Set.
