The 2024 Bossies: Best TV Series of 2024 Award Nominations Announced

The second annual presentation of The Bossies is January 16, 2024. Alongside special guests (to be announced) and content, the night will be one of celebration as we highlight the best in games and entertainment.

Boss Rush is excited to partner with developers, publishers, and content creators to bring this celebration to you.

In an expansion from last year’s presentation, this year entertainment categories have been added. Check out this year’s nominations for Best TV Series of 2024.

Shogun

When a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby Japanese fishing village, Lord Yoshii Toranaga discovers secrets that could tip the scales of power and devastate his enemies.

Shogun won Best Drama in the 2024 Emmys and took home more awards (and nominations) than any other show.

Bad Monkey

A detective turned restaurant inspector in Key West is pulled into a world of greed and corruption after a tourist finds a severed arm while fishing. And yes, there’s a monkey.

Detective shows are a staple of television and this production starring Vince Vaughn is one of the newest additions to the genre. Bad Monkey is from the Executive Producer of Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Scrubs.

House of the Dragon

An internal succession war within House Targaryen at the height of its power, 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen.

The Game of Thrones prequel still continues strong. However, the third season isn’t expected to air until 2026 which means it will miss the upcoming award season.

The Bear

A young chef from the fine dining world returns to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop.

Combining elements of both thrillers and comedies, The Bear is a show that has hooked its fanbase and leaves them wanting more.

Slow Horses

Follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve as a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes.

Who doesn’t love a story about spies? There are four seasons to catch with a fifth due out in 2025.

Star Wars: The Acolyte

An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master against a dangerous warrior from his past. As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems…

One of the most talked about Star Wars shows to appear on Disney+. The show has already been cancelled and will not be returning for a second season.
