Three years since the release of the base game, TaleWorlds released new upcoming content for their game Mount and Blade: Bannerlord in the guise of its new DLC called War Sail.
In this DLC, players will experience and a new naval warfare as they take to the seas exploring uncharted territories beyond the continent of Calradia. Players also get a new playable Viking faction called the Nords, which were previously hinted about in the backstory behind the Principality of Sturgia in base game, a fact lined out in the in-game wiki.
According to TaleWorlds page for the DLC, it’s going to be jam-packed not only a new storyline but also new weapons, units, ships, port cities, maritime skills, weather and storm mechanics, and engaging characters throughout the new content. The ships being the main focus of the DLC players will not be left wanting with 18 different ship types that can be upgraded and equipped with a different weapons, rams, sails, and siege engines.
This DLC also comes with a much needed patch and update to base game mechanics, with hints of a new stealth system being added into the game along with who knows how many other fixes.
The official release date for the DLC is this Summer on June 17 and is to be released on PC and Console.
