From the developers behind Abzu and The Pathless, Giant Squid has their new game coming sometime in 2025. A new trailer was dropped and showcases a vast world much reminiscent of games like Journey by ThatGameCompany. Sword of the Sea is shaping up to be a wonderful indie experience.

The game seems to be a high-energy sand-surfing adventure that is beautifully fleshed out. The musical score is being created by Austin Wintory, who has done some amazing work with games in the past, like FLOW, Journey, The Order: 1886, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Abzu, Hades 2, and many more. The gameplay seems fast-paced and innovative. It looks both relaxing and a bit tricky to master for those who want to pull off some amazing stunts.
