This Year’s Gen Con has some exciting new board games soon to be available and we’d like to talk about them. We look into what Moose Games and Capstone game have in store.
Moose Games showed us three new games it has in store now and the near future. One of them is a new game called Hello Kitty and Friends Reach for the Stars. This is a cute little match-the-friends game where you throw miniatures around and match their landing with your card available. It comes in a very soft and comfortable bag meant for ages 6 and up. It also has a new insect card collection game called Menagerie, with little facts about the little bugs you collect.
Based on the hit game Poppy’s Playtime, a new board game emerges where you and 5 other friends run around collecting toys and getting out the factory before Poppy gets you! “No one leaves without a toy” as spoken by Moose Games own Deidre Tree.
Hello Kitty is set to release exclusively at Target, while Poppy and Menagerie are set to be available at Barnes and Noble, with Menagerie being available in August.
Capstone Games is coming out with the final installment of the trilogy in its Ark Nova games, Sanctuary. Part of a set of map building games, Sanctuary has you trying to build your own zoo, and get points along the way as you collect animals, build buildings, and complete projects. The first to fill up their map ends the game as you tally points for your achievements.
Capstone hopes for a release Sanctuary in October.
The Boss Rush Network was at Gen Con 2025 in Indianapolis to take in the four-day convention, which features exhibits on board games, card games, and other tabletop games. Be sure to check out bossrush.net for more news from the event.
