On this episode of Nintendo Pow Block, Edward Varnell and Corey Dirrig break down one of the wildest weeks the industry has seen in a long time. Microsoft and Xbox surprised everyone with major leadership shakeups as Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond step away, possibly not voluntarily, ushering in a new era under Asha Sharma as head of Microsoft Gaming.
On the Nintendo side, things heat up fast with the surprise announcement that Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are officially coming to the Nintendo Switch as paid standalone releases. They also discuss Xenoblade Chronicles X Nintendo Switch 2 Edition getting a big 60fps and 4K visuals, while new footage of No Rest for the Wicked running on the console shows up from Moon Studios.
To wrap things up, they react to Sonic the Hedgehog 4 casting Kristen Bell as Amy Rose and the reveal of a gorgeous new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Link statue.
