Sony has started the 2026 Summer Direct with their State of Play and brought not only updates to already announced titles, but also some new games coming to the PS5 family. That’s right, none of the games that were shown are planned for PS4. Without further ado, let’s look at the games coming to the PlayStation 5 platform in the coming months and in 2027.
June
Marathon: Nightfall (Season 2) June 2-9
Bungie is bringing the next season to Marathon, and this week, you can play for free and carry your information into season 2. Check out the newest trailer.
August
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls – August 6
The newest members entering the fight are known as The Knights of Doom. You’ll be able to play as Dr. Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage. With one more group of characters awaiting to be revealed, check out the trailer to see these “Knights” in action.
September
Marvel’s Wolverine – September 15
Kicking off the State of Play was the gameplay reveal of Marvel’s Wolverine where you can see Logan in action, ripping, jumping, and slaughtering enemies left and right. Check out the trailer to see what Insomniac has been working on.
Dune: Awakening – September 22
Check out some new gameplay for Dune: Awakening, which is receiving a single-player campaign when it comes to the PS5 family.
Control Resonant – September 24
Remedy revealed a new trailer for Control Resonant, and it seems that something bigger is happening in this world.
Onimusha: Way Of The Sword – September 25
It seems protagonist Musashi has some choices to make as he takes down various enemies and bosses while parrying attacks that come toward him. Take a look at the new trailer. Also, you can try out the demo today to get a feel for the game for the PS5 family.
October
Rayman Legends Retold – October 1
Ubisoft has remade its 2013 hit game, Rayman Legends, for a new audience and for those who missed it 13 years ago. Check out the four-player 2D platformer in action with its beautiful artwork and level design.
Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered – October 1
Hailed as one of the best Warriors games in the main line series, Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered brings a lot of quality-of-life additions while also including Ziluan from Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Ace Combat 8: Wings Of Theves – October 2
Ace Combat is flying back to gaming with its eighth installment for this widely acclaimed series. With a more focused story, the trailer highlights how the game looks and introduces some characters you will come across. Take a look!
Phantom Blade Zero – October 29
Phantom Blade Zero was shown with a new trailer and announcement that it will have a bigger breakdown and more gameplay reveals, late this summer.
No Rest For The Wicked – October 2026
Moon Studios is bringing their latest title, No Rest For The Wicked, to the PS5 with a full story campaign and ending that the current PC build doesn’t have.
February 2027
Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis – February 12
A new trailer for the reimagined Tomb Raider was unveiled, showcasing new areas, dialogue, characters, and story elements for the upcoming game, set to be released next year. With spectacular graphics and Lara Croft’s Double Guns returning, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis seems to be in good hands and going smoothly in its development.

Runescape: Dragonwilds
For the first time on console, Runescape is making its first appearance with Runescape: Dragonwilds. This open-world survival game will have you fighting, crafting, and building to become the greatest dragon slayer. Check out the trailer to see it in action.
PlayStation Plus Classics
Sony revealed 3 new classic games that will be released from this month to August. This month, you can play Guitaroo Man from the PS1 era. In July, you can play Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. In August, you can get your hands on Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.
2027 (No Date Specified)
Kemuri
Choose between three classes and hunt down Yokai. You can go solo or team up to take on missions and hunt together. Check out this new IP from developer Unseen.
The Lost Wild
Lost in a wooden forest, you find a facility overrun by dinosaurs. You must be cunning, stealthy, and avoid dangers, as you try to reveal what happened to the facility and escape the madness you find yourself in.
Ill
ILL is a first-person survival horror where you must escape a horrific hospital after coming out a coma. Use weapons you can find to defend yourself from mutated-looking humans and discover the truth about what is going on and how you ended up in this situation.
Until Dawn 2
A new Until Dawn title is coming next year to the PS5 with a new cast, a new setting, and a devious killer. Who could it be, and will everyone survive, or will they die by the choices you make?

Bancho The Chef
In a side story from Dave the Diver, you’ll learn the origins of Bancho the Chef as he travels to Japan and learns how to make fish cuisine.
Silent Hill Townfall
Konami brought a new trailer with some story details and gameplay with the next installment of the Silent Hill series.
Stuntman Hollywood
The Stuntman franchise is back and this time, you’ll play in Hollywood and drive in famous films and TV like Back To The Future and Miami Vice. Check out the trailer below.
God Of War: Laufey
Santa Monica Studios premiered the next installment in the main God of War franchise. The game features Faye, Kratos’ wife, and Atreus’ mother, after she had died at the beginning of God of War in 2018. They presented a 20-minute trailer showing the gameplay and a hint of the story. With no date in sight, this is considered the sixth game in the mainline series.
