Egg Hatcher has just announced that Volcano Princess is releasing its newest major update. More than just adding more cosmetics to the game, this update features Japanese voice acting and more story.
There are three new outfits for the daughter with this update. Love Unknown is the one of the outfits which can be obtained automatically by entering the daughter’s room in Month two of volcano winter. The Goddess Outfit can be collected by entering the daughter’s room after completing a single playthrough of the game, and St. Elmore’s Academy Uniform is obtained automatically after the daughter enrolls into school in the first month of volcano summer.
A new dungeon has also been added to the game which adds more story-related content to it. This dungeon will be available from the volcano fall and onward when players first enter the Central Plaza. Alongside these updates are two new romance endings for Hackett and Benson. They are not the only characters to get more story as Claude and Carlos both have also received supplementary stories.
Of course, as mentioned, a huge update to the game is full voice acting. Players can enjoy a brand new opening for the game, new background music, and full Japanese voice acting. With this update, the current translations in the game have been revised and fixed up as well. The whole sound design of the game has been taken to a whole new level.
There were also a few quality of life optimizations added as well to brighten player experience. To name a few, Egg Hatcher worked around some things to help reduce the memory usage of the game and took out unnecessary parts in performance in others to help with stuttering issues. With the new background music, it will now fade from the old one to the new one to help better transition the sound.
Volcano Princess is a game that I love to play on repeat to see new endings and cool down from other, more time-consuming games. I am excited to see and try out this new update to see how much more the game has improved.
