Sony has announced via a tweet that they will be bringing 10 free games for players to download this spring on their PS4 and PS5 consoles. The announcement is part of Sony’s 2021 Play at Home initiative.
Most of the titles are currently available for download as of March 25, and will continue until April 22. These include:
- Abzû
- Enter the Gungeon
- Rez Infinite
- Subnautica
- The Witness
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission
- Moss
- Thumper
- Paper Beast
In addition, Sony is offering an extended free trial for the anime streaming service Funimation and Wakanim for all new members.
Lastly, from April 19-May 14, the acclaimed game Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition will be available for free for all players. This package includes all downloadable content, making for quite the remarkable deal.
The Play at Home campaign began in the spring of 2020 as an incentive for gamers to stay home due to the Covid 19 worldwide pandemic. The games offered last year were Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey, all games published by Sony and winners of multiple awards.
Earlier this year, Sony offered the 2016 title Ratchet & Clank for free download.
Sony concludes their announcement by stating that “there’s more to come later this spring.”
