Nintendo brought us a new Indie World Showcase that contained some exciting new indie titles, updates to announced games, surprising ports. and the debut sequel to Oxenfree. With 21 games shown, Nintendo and its indie partners are delivering a lot of content across multiple genres.
They started out by showing Road 96 by Digixart, a French based studio. In this procedral story driven game, your decisions decide your next path and with more than a 1000 roads to take and multiple characters to meet with their own stories, Road 96 looks to be huge experience to dive in over and over.
Next, the hip-hop jazzy 2D runner Aerial Knight’s Never Yield brings a new twist to the genre that will keep you in awe while head-nodding to the music. Check out the trailer for the game to get an idea. Aerial Knight’s Never Yield will release on May 19 for Nintendo Switch with a demo available today.
Two news games from Annapurna showed the continue streak of creative indies the publisher supports. Last Stop, releasing in July of this year and Hindsight, releasing later this year, are narrative driven games that will have you exploring various characters lives that will touch you in different ways.
A new OllieOllie game titled OllieOllie World, brings the slick 2D skateboard platforming back with new graphics, side quest, and paths with tight controls and tricks to help you flow as you progress. OllieOllie World will be released this winter. Check out the trailer.
The Longing by Studio Seufz has your given your character the task to wait 400 days. How will you pass the time? Search and discover secrets and more in this slow pace adventure game available today.
The Is No Game: Wrong Dimension is just that. It’s a non-game, an experimental title of different games you’ll play through. It’s an unusual concept, but it releases today.
More info about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was revealed with new footage of levels and scenarios. The game will release later this year. Here’s a new trailer to watch.
CrisTales by Modus, a beautiful time-centric RPG, has been dated for July 20th. You can still download the demo on the eShop.
Konami and GuruGuru brings the Getsu Fuma Den IP to the west, with a new entry titled Getsu Fuma Den: Undying Moon to Nintendo Switch. With the original released only in Japan on the Famicom, this modern rouge-like hack-and-slash will take you through deadly dungeons and terrifying bosses as you gain new weapons and skills to survive. It will release next year.
Aztech Forgotten Gods by Lienzo, is a 3D action adventure game coming to Nintendo Switch. Stylish and colorful, Aztech Forgotten Gods releases Fall 2021. Go and watch the trailer to see what lies behind the secrets.
Skul The Hero Slayer by South Paw Games and Neowiz has you slaying up a storm in this 2D action title. Jump, dash, and strike your enemy with a vast arsenal of weapons you’ll fight with through you journey. Skul The Hero Slayer releases this Summer.
A montage of games followed next by showing Art Of Rally, KeyWe, Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective, Weaving Tides, Ender Lilies: Quietus Of The Knights, Beast Of Maravilla, The House Of The Dead Remake, and Fez. Fez, with its surprising showing, releases today on the eShop.
There’s a Indie World sale also going on from April 14 to April 25th that you can get for a great deal.
They ended the show by announcing Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals that will be releasing sometime in the future. Watch the suspenseful trailer.
