May 2021 Game Pass, Games With Gold Updates, and More

May is already here, and Xbox has dropped another great series of games to play for Game Pass subscribers, as well as Games with Gold and many more system updates.

Microsoft also dropped a system update for Series X/S owners this week that includes improvements to the Quick Resume feature. Not only can you see which of your favorite games have the Quick Resume feature with a tag in your home screen, but it also improves the reliability and faster load times. You can also group these games together in your home screen. They should really call it “Quicker Resume” now. Maybe not, in hindsight.

They’ve also implemented the Audio Passthrough setting for your favorite streaming apps like Disney+, AppleTV, Plex. and many more. Enabling this setting in your Xbox audio settings screen allows your app to “passthrough” the default audio settings for your Xbox so that you can enjoy the best sound quality from your streaming app without extra fuss.

Xbox has also added new dynamic backgrounds, more family settings, Android app updates, and also the removal of the Xbox Smart Glass app for the PC. Remember the Smart Glass app? Yeah me neither…

That Game Pass list has a lot of great titles in it, which ones are you going to jump on right away? Let us know in the comments, and if you’re playing Final Fantasy X again, show us your impression of Tidus’ laugh!
