Although Nintendo has yet to comment on the matter, experts over at Bloomberg believe that the upgraded Switch console could very well be announced prior to E3 2021. This would allow publishers at the virtual event to show off their full Switch line up.

Bloomberg’s sources indicate that if the above is true, then Nintendo could begin manufacturing the Switch Pro as soon as July with a potential release date around September or October. With the Switch Lite priced at $199, many expect the future Pro model to be priced higher than original console ($299). Of course, shortages on electrical parts are still a challenge and could impact the final result. Thankfully, the Switch uses different components than the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

While the future of a Switch Pro seems like a solid bet, guesses on its release date always seem to swirl around in plumes of rumors. However, Bloomberg seems to be onto something, as they are receiving corroborating support from Eurogamer.net.
