Nintendo showed a 40 minute presentation that astounded many. With some unexpected title reveals, Nintendo seems to be set to release some high profile games during the fall and winter. The recap below begins with indie titles, followed by the announced third party titles, and then the last section focusing on Nintendo published titles. So let’s Switch to the breakdown right now (snaps fingers in a jazzy move).

Nindies

Astria Ascending by Dear Village is a turn based RPG that was originally shown in a previous Indie World Showcase. Check out the gorgeous hand painted world of Astria Ascending in the trailer below. Astria Ascending will release September 30.

This next title isn’t necessary an indie game, but Cruis’n Blast from Raw Thrills is an Arcade racer from the Cruis’n series that used to belong to Midway. In Cruis’n Blast, you’ll race on over 30 tracks in new locations. You’ll also race to retrieve cash and secret keys hidden within the tracks. You also can win customize tracks and vehicles, play the original arcade game, and race in 4-player split screen. Watch the trailer below as Cruis’n Blast comes to Switch exclusively.

Last on the Nindie list is Worms Rumble by Team 17. In Worms Rumble, you equip your worm with the right arsenal and battle your way to victory against other players in this arena based competition. With the Switch version, you get the exclusive patch work bear hat to fight in. Check the out the trailer to see the fun action of Worms Rumble.

Third-Party Partners

Nintendo Switch made some eye-opening announcement that had viewers screaming with excitement. Ubisoft showed off Mario+Rabbids: Spark Of Hope and Just Dance 2022. Mario+Rabbids: Spark Of Hope is the sequel to the successful Kingdom Battle from Ubisoft. There are more characters to choose and fight with. The gameplay has changed to a more open form of combat than the grid base strategy from the first title. With a planned release for 2022, the game has become a must-have among the Nintendo community. Just Dance 2022 continues bring the music to the player. Dance your way through 40 tracks and swing your hips to an exclusive version of Todrick Hall’s “Nails, Hair, Hips, Heel”. Get ready to twist, twirl, and more when it releases this year.

Square Enix came in with surprise announcements of Guardians of the Galaxy, Life Is Strange True Colors, and Life Is Strange Remastered coming to Nintendo Switch. Guardians Of The Galaxy was shown at Square Enix presentation and wasn’t announced for Switch, but in the Direct, Nintendo made clear that the Switch will receive a cloud version of the game, which will release on October 26. Life Is Strange True Colors and Life Is Strange Remaster Collection had a nice animated trailer to announce these titles coming to Switch. Watch the trailer to see these games in action. Life Is Strange True Color releases Sept 10 with the remaster releasing at a later date. Check out the cool trailer.

Sega has three games planned for Nintendo Switch. Shin Megami Tensei V got a gameplay trailer detailing some of the story and the battle system. With a Nov. 12 release, you can watch the trailer and prepare yourself for some awesome demon slaying.

Nintendo also showed off Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania with a hilarious space reveal to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This collection edition contains remastered versions of Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania releases October 5. Last but not least, Two Point Campus is coming to Nintendo Switch. This simulation game takes place on a college campus where you must manage to keep it open and functioning. Watch the trailer for more information.

Capcom showed off the new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin, focusing on more story elements. The game releases July 9, and you can pre-order it for additional content.

Activision showed Tony Hawks Pro Skateboarding 1+2 coming June 25. You can pre-order the game now.

Strange Brigade, developed by Rebellion, is a solo or 4 player co-op action game where you hunt for the ultimate treasure while defeating hordes of enemies, solving puzzles, and defeating big bosses. The game is available now on the eShop. Check out the trailer to see it in action.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot+ A New Power Awakens Set is a port of last year’s semi-open world game that contains all of the DLC released for it. Check out the trailer for more details and for some pre-order bonuses. The game releases September 24.

Danganronpa Decadence is a collection of games from the popular Danganronpa series. You are trapped with your school class and must play a game of life and death. Find out who the culprit is and try to survive to the end. Watch the trailer for more information. Danganronpa Decadence releases later this year.

Doom Eternal is getting its first DLC titled “The Ancient Gods Part 1”. Watch the trailer for the gory action, which is available now on the eShop.

Nintendo didn’t disappoint either with their own announcement of games. If you thought they had nothing up their sleeves, you were wrong. Let’s jump into their multitude of games which release this fall and winter, as well as a few in 2022.

Nintendo showed the final trailer for Mario Golf Super Rush, which releases June 25. Check it out!!

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! We have a new fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Watch the trailer not only to find out who it is, but catch some flashy fighting and comedy!

Mario Party Superstars is a collection of boards from the Nintendo 64 games with over 100 mini-games and online play. Check out the trailer to see all the fun the game has to offer. Mario Party Superstars releases October 29 with pre-orders available now.

A unexpected series makes it return with this remake of games in Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. Developed by Wayforward, Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp contains new art and graphics for the series and contains the first and second game in the series. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp releases December 3, with pre-orders available now. Check out the trailer.

WAHAHAHAHA! It’s Wario and company, back for more wackiness in WarioWare: Get It Together. A new entry in the series, and now with 2 player co-op, you and friend can do certain mini-games together and laugh at all the silliness the game has. Watch the trailer and hear from Wario himself. WarioWare: Get It Together releases September 10, with pre-orders available now.

Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water is a port of the Wii U version. Originally a digital only game, this version will see a physical and digital release. Watch the spooky trailer to see the frame work of the game. Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water will be available this year.

The biggest and maybe the best reveal for all of E3 was Metroid Dread. It is the fifth game in the series and will end this story arc of Samus and the Metroids. The franchise isn’t over, but seeing this game that was conceptualized 19 years ago finally come to fruition has many of us wondering what is next for Samus and the Metroid series. As we wait for Metroid Prime 4, the MercurySteam developed title certainly won’t disappoint. Watch the trailer to see it all in its glory. Metroid Dread releases October 8, along with the amiibo two pack.

Finally, Eiji Aonuma brought us some more news about The Legend Of Zelda series. He spoke about The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and Game And Watch: The Legend of Zelda, which appears to be the only celebration Nintendo has planned for the 35th anniversary. The very big news was the trailer for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2. So many theories. So many questions. Watch the trailer for yourself to see the new game that is targeting a 2022 release.
