Disney+ Reveals Behind The Scenes Sneak Peek of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Released as part of Disney+ Day on November 12, director Deborah Chow and Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor, have given audiences their first big news on the show since it was confirmed. The minute-long description lacks any trailer footage, but does allow the director and lead actor to share new details about the highly-anticipated show.

Chow describes the series’ setting as “quite a dark time [that Obi-Wan] is coming into. . . It’s not safe. There are Jedi hunters.” While McGregor explains that Obi-Wan’s mission in the series is to keep young Luke Skywalker safe.

The other major confirmation from this announcement is that Hayden Christianson will return to play Darth Vader.

Though the sneak peak doesn’t offer any scenes from the show, several stills of production art are featured over the interviews. If the credits sequences for The Mandalorian are any cue, these images most likely hew pretty close to what we will get to see on screen when the series debuts some time in 2022.
