RUMOR: Hideo Kojima Working on Multiple Projects

There have been a lot of rumors floating around what Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders creator, Hideo Kojima, has been working on since his latest release, Death Stranding. Everything from a direct sequel to working with Konami again for Silent Hill to producing a Metal Gear remake to making an Xbox exclusive has made the rounds around social media.

This week, Kojima teased fans with his next projects in a single Happy New Year tweet, which including his first creation, Ludens.

This year, I'm going to start a new work in earnest, and move to the next level of experimentation with a radical project. I'm also hoping to get the video team going. And I may start doing something like a radio project? pic.twitter.com/j0norcJ23a

These projects were originally teased in an interview with Japanese publication Famitsu. There was little information revealed during the interview, only that he mentioned he is currently working on both a “big” title and a “new challenging” project.

The way he differentiated his second project as “new” implies that he may be working on something outside of games for the first time, in which he went on to stress how he wanted to create media outside the limits of video games. We already know he recently opened up a Kojima Productions branch in Los Angeles that is supposedly focusing on TV and film.
