LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Gets Release Date and Gameplay Trailer

Fans of the Force unite! Warner Bros. Games has officially unveiled a gameplay trailer and release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The sixth installment in the TT Games’ Lego Star Wars series will encompass every movie from all 3 main trilogies.

The trailer boasts a new combat system including combo chains for lightsaber-wielding characters. Blaster combat now includes crosshairs and cover with an over-the-shoulder camera angle. Now you can protect yourself and see where you’re shooting!

Certain levels will include multiple paths to completion for players with different approaches. Additionally, Kyber Bricks can be collected throughout levels to unlock new abilities for specific character classes like Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Jedi, and even Protocol Droid!

The game will also include over 300 playable characters from Qui-Gon Jinn to Babu Frik. They also give fun nod to the original games where they’ve included a mumble mode, so that you hear muffled gibberish during cutscenes rather than the new voices.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is currently set to be released on April 5, 2022. It can be pre-ordered on all major consoles in both Standard and Deluxe Editions, with the latter including seven DLC packs in a Character Collection bundle.
