Google Will No Longer Prioritize Stadia

Google Stadia seems to be shutting down in favor of business and enterprise tech. In a recent report, the new name will be Google Stream, with Google aiming to sell the technology to companies like Pelaton, Bungie, and more. 

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have officially been announced. 

This week, Activision released some upcoming information about Call of Duty 2022. This year’s game will be a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, once again developed by Infinity Ward. The even bigger surprise, however, is that a sequel to the free-to-play Warzone battle royale built from the ground up with a new engine, designed to be “a massive evolution of Battle Royale with all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode.​”

Splinter Joins Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge as a Playable Character

Splinter is going to be a playable character in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. In a new 8 minute gameplay video, Dotemu showed off the combat of the radical rat and the turtles’ female companion, April O’Neal. The game is hitting in all the right places in terms of nostalgia and many fans are looking for anything good from the franchise. 

PlatinumGames wants to work with Microsoft again.

A lot of Xbox fans may remember that their previous project was unceremoniously canceled due to a combination of Xbox’s position at the time and Platinum not fully delivering on deadlines and gameplay. Kamiya stated that fans need to speak up to Xbox and even tweeted out Phil Let’s Do This. 

Hellblade II will be more ambitious than it’s predecessor.

In a recent interview with NME, via Pure Xbox, cofounder Tameem Antoniades discussed the studio’s plans for Hellblade 2. He stated: “The goal with Hellblade 2 isn’t to perfect it, but to create an experience that feels more believable and more refined. Its ambition in terms of scale is bigger. I think Hellblade 2 will make Hellblade look like an indie game.”
