During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 earlier this month, Xbox gamers received the exciting news that three of Atlus’ hit Persona titles would be making their way to Xbox via Xbox Game Pass. Gamers will soon be able to add Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal to their libraries. Persona 5 Royal is (questionably) the first of these three titles to hit the scene coming this October.
Pure Xbox has reported that Persona 5 Royal will come to Game Pass with all previously released DLCs in tow — a total of 40 pieces of individual content.

The Persona series is a turn-based JRPG series from Atlus known for its distinct, anime-like style and dramatic stories that follow the lives of its teenage heroes. Previously, most of the Persona games were only playable on various PlayStation platforms while a recent Musou spinoff, Persona 5 Strikers, came out in 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. However, the mainline Persona games haven’t gotten as many releases outside of PlayStation. Persona 4 Golden came to Windows PC in 2020, roughly eight years after its initial PlayStation 2 release. Prior to that, Golden was only available on PlayStation Vita, and it is the only mainline game in the series to get a Windows PC release. Persona 3 Portable was released on the PlayStation Portable (as the name implies) in 2009 following its initial 2006 release on PlayStation 2.
The Persona series has been going strong for 25 years and with Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Xbox Game Pass, this is an anniversary celebration that fans of JRPGs won’t want to miss.
