Nintendo has announced that a special edition of the Switch OLED model will launch on August 26th, inspired by the artwork from the Splatoon series. The new model features a white dock that is splattered with yellow ink and sketches from the series are etched along as well. The joy-cons are also etched with details from the series including ink splats and squids, and they are multicolored to boot. The left joy-con has shades of blues and purples, while the left joy-con has yellows and greens. Each joy-con also features a white backing to match the dock. Lastly, the back of the Switch OLED unit itself is littered with graffiti from the ink based shooter series. The new model is listed at $10 more than other models of the OLED, at $359.99 and the game will not be included.

The new edition of the Switch OLED will launch two weeks before the next installment of the series, Splatoon 3, which is set to release on September 9th. This is the first special edition to hit the OLED model of the popular handheld/console hybrid. What other series will follow suit for the OLED model?
